The U.S. measles outbreak is continuing to spread to new areas.
Many of the infections are related to a measles outbreak in Disney (NYSE:DIS) Land in California. The outbreak included 40 employees and visitors of the amusement park, reports The New York Times.

- Cases of measles have been reported in California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska, Texas, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York.
- The CDC reported 102 cases of measles in January.
- The measles outbreak comes after the virus was declared eliminated in the Unites States in 2000 and is already worse than many in recent years.
- From 2001 to 2011, the median number of measles cases reported a year was 62.
- There were 644 cases of measles during 2014, but this was considered high compared to recent years.
