More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.4%, the Nasdaq pushed 0.3% higher and the S&P 500 increased 0.4%.

- Helix Energy Solutions Group (HLX): HLX stock is up 1.0% today.
- Petrochina Company Limited (PTR): PTR stock is up 0.7% today.
- Bristow Group Inc (BRS): BRS stock is up 0.6% today.
- China Petroleum & Chemical Corp (SNP): SNP stock is up 0.6% today.
- Alliance Holdings Gp L.P. (AHGP): AHGP stock is up 0.5% today on 2 times normal volume.
- Chevron Corp (CVX): CVX stock is up 0.4% today.
- Cnooc Limited (CEO): CEO stock is up 0.3% today.

- Petroleo Brasileiro S.A.- Petrobras (PBR): PBR stock is down 6.2% today.
- Transocean Inc (RIG): RIG stock is down 6.1% today.
- Gulfport Energy Corp (GPOR): GPOR stock is down 4.9% today.
- Pengrowth Energy Corp (PGH): PGH stock is down 4.3% today.
- Enerplus Corp (ERF): ERF stock is down 4.0%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Unit Corp (UNT): UNT stock is down 4.0% today.
- Nustar Gp Holdings Llc (NSH): NSH stock is down 3.5% today.
- Cobalt International Energy (CIE): CIE stock is down 3.5% today.
- Atwood Oceanics (ATW): ATW stock is down 3.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Ferrellgas Partners L.P. (FGP): FGP stock is down 3.2% today.
