Ellanora Baidoo, a Brooklyn woman, has had trouble meeting her husband to deliver the divorce papers and he also has no known address. As a result, her lawyer will be allowed to send the papers to him via her Facebook account. The method of serving the papers was approved by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper, reports The New York Daily News.

Baidoo’s lawyer will send the divorce papers to her husband once a week for three weeks, or until he responds, in a private message. The two had promised to have a traditional Ghana wedding, but it never actually occurred. They’ve never lived together, The New York Daily News notes.

Baidoo’s ability to serve divorce papers to her husband via Facebook will make her the first to do so via the social media service.
