More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average stayed the same, the Nasdaq declined 0.2% and the S&P 500 was unchanged.

• Sun Life Financial Inc (SLF): SLF stock is up 2.2% today.

• Privatebancorp (PVTB): PVTB stock is up 1.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Chemical Financial Corp (CHFC): CHFC stock is up 1.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Western Alliance Bancorporation (WAL): WAL stock is up 1.6% today.

• East West Bancorp (EWBC): EWBC stock is up 1.6% today.

• Pacwest Bancorp (PACW): PACW stock is up 1.6% today on 3 times normal volume.

• Keycorp (KEY): KEY stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Bbva Banco Frances S.A. (BFR): BFR stock is up 1.5% today.

• Signature Bank (SBNY): SBNY stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among financial stocks include:

• Alliance Capital Management L.P. (AB): AB stock is down 3.1% today.

• Federated Investors (FII): FII stock is down 2.4% today on 2 times normal volume.

• Bgc Partners (BGCP): BGCP stock is down 2.1%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Cohn & Steers Inc (CNS): CNS stock is down 1.6% today.

• Janus Capital Group Inc (JNS): JNS stock is down 1.5% today.

• Lazard Ltd (LAZ): LAZ stock is down 1.5% today.

• Banco Bradesco Sa (BBD): BBD stock is down 1.3% today.

• Evercore Partners Inc (EVR): EVR stock is down 1.2% today.
