Basic materials stocks fell on Wall Street on Wednesday morning, down 1.1%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.0%, the Nasdaq fell 1.2% and the S&P 500 declined 1.0%.

• Compania Mina Buenaventura S.A. (BVN): BVN stock is up 3.1% today.

• Pan American Silver (PAAS): PAAS stock is up 3.1% today.

• Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (AEM): AEM stock is up 2.7% today.

• Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is up 2.8% today.

• Yamana Gold (AUY): AUY stock is up 2.4% today.

• Gold Fields Ltd (GFI): GFI stock is up 2.5% today.

• Kinross Gold Corp (KGC): KGC stock is up 1.8% today.

• Eldorado Gold Corp (EGO): EGO stock is up 1.5% today.

• Barrick Gold Corp (ABX): ABX stock is up 1.6% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Vedanta Limited (VEDL): VEDL stock is down 13.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Sinopec Shangai Petrochemical Company Ltd (SHI): SHI stock is down 13.6% today and down 38.2% in the last month.

• Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd (ACH): ACH stock is down 9.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Rio Tinto Plc (RIO): RIO stock is down 3.1% today.

• Bhp Billiton Limited (BHP): BHP stock is down 2.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Bhp Billiton Plc (BBL): BBL stock is down 2.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Balchem Corp (BCPC): BCPC stock is down 3.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Alcoa Inc (AA): AA stock is down 2.7% today.

• Teck Resources Ltd (TCK): TCK stock is down 2.4% today.

• Vale S.A. (VALE): VALE stock is down 2.5% today.
