More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was unchanged, the Nasdaq was up 0.3% and the S&P 500 was steady.

  • Consolidated Edison Company of New York (ED): ED stock is up 0.2% today.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

  • Markwest Energy Partners LP (MWE): MWE stock is down 3.6% today on 2 times normal volume.
  • Energy Transfer Partners (ETP): ETP stock is down 3.0% today.
  • Enbridge Inc (ENB): ENB stock is down 2.3% today.
  • Oneok Partners L.P. (OKS): OKS stock is down 2.0% today.
  • Calpine Corp (CPN): CPN stock is down 1.9% today on 3 times normal volume.
  • Transcananda Pipelines (TRP): TRP stock is down 1.9% today.
  • Cheniere Energy Partners LP (CQP): CQP stock is down 1.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
  • Energy Transfer Equity LP (ETE): ETE stock is down 1.6% today on 2 times normal volume.
  • Kinder Morgan (KMI): KMI stock is down 1.6% today.
