Kate Spade (KATE) has announced that it’s expanding into new territory with fitness, cooking and other collections.
Kate Spade’s fitness collection will be part of a collaboration with Beyond Yoga and will include a variety of wear ranging from $38 to $81. The line will launch in Spring 2016. It’s new cooking collection will be called “All In Good Taste” and will launch next month and includes 116 pieces, reports Racked.
Other new collections that are being worked on by Kate Spade include a clothing line for babies and young girls. It’s also looking to introduce a new line of sleepwear. The new collections are part of the company’s efforts to expand beyond its handbag business, Racked notes.
“We want to make sure that we always enter each product category in a really brand authentic way,” Craig Leavitt, CEO of Kate Spade, told
Fashion Times earlier this year. “I think that’s been part of the magic of being successful as we continue to roll out these new product categories.”
KATE shares were down 3% as of Tuesday afternoon.
