Here are your Apple Rumors for today:
Games: The new Apple (AAPL) TV will require developers to use the new device’s remote, reports MacRumors. This news means that developers that are making games for the set-top box will have to guarantee that it can be played with the remote. In fact, the remote must be listed as the default option for the game. This will likely cause problems for some developers that have been designing their games to be played with optional controllers that can be used with the Apple TV.
Mini: A breakdown of the specs that are included in the iPad mini 4 has been posted online, AppleInsider notes. According to the breakdown, the iPad mini 4 will be equipped with an A8 processor that is stronger than the one found in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. However, it’s still slower than the processor found in the iPad Air 2. The device will also come with 2GB of RAM and can use the upcoming Split View in iOS 9. It starts at $399.
Maps: A new rumor claims that Apple is working on advanced mapping technology overseas, reports 9to5Mac. According to this rumor, the tech company is developing the mapping technology at one of its research and development centers located in Sweden. The company has been reportedly hiring more people at the R&D center that have experience with mapping. It’s believed that this new technology would be added to the Apple Maps app.
