Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) is alerting owners of older model Kindles that they need to be updated immediately.

Amazon, Kindle, AMZN StockAmazon has announced that certain older Kindles that aren’t updates to the appropriate software versions will lose their ability to connect to the internet. The update needs to be on devices by March 22, which is tomorrow.

Here is a list of the Kindles that need to be updated and what software version they should be at.

  • Kindle 1st Generation (2007) — Needs software version 1.2.1.
  • Kindle 2nd Generation (2009) — Needs software version 2.5.8.
  • Kindle DX 2nd Generation (2009) —  Needs software version 2.5.8.
  • Kindle Keyboard 3rd Generation (2010) — Needs software version 3.4.2 or higher.
  • Kindle 4th Generation (2011) — Needs software version 4.1.3 or higher.
  • Kindle 5th Generation (2012) — Needs software version 4.1.3 or higher.
  • Kindle Touch 4th Generation (2011) — Needs software version 5.3.7.3 or higher.
  • Kindle Paperwhite 5th Generation (2012) — Needs software version 5.6.1.1 or higher
