A couple is suing HGTV show Love It or List It due to “shoddy” renovations.
Deena Murphy and Timothy Sullivan from North Carolina filed the lawsuit, claiming the show’s renovations to their home were poor. Additionally, the couple claims the HGTV show used unfair trade practices with them.
The two decided to go on Love it or List It when looking to renovate a project on their home. The couple said they say an ad offering homeowners “whose home, for whatever reason, doesn’t suit their needs anymore,” to apply.
In the show, renovators fix up places similar to their homes as well as their home. The couple then chooses to stay in their newly-remodeled space or “List It,” and move into a home that suits them better.
