Apple Watch Patent: A new patent connected to the Apple Watch could change how owners use the device, reports AppleInisder. The patent it titled “Wristband device input using wrist movement.” It details a system that would allow users to control their smartwatch with different wrist movements. This would be possible with different sensors that could be used to determine how a person’s wrist is flexing and stretching. This means that users could do things like making a phone gesture with their hand to answer calls.
Sonder Acqusition: Apple is reportedly in talks to acquire startup Sonder, The Guardian notes. According to the publication, an unnamed representative for the startup confirmed that it is in talks to be acquired by AAPL. This includes CEO Francisco Serra-Martins meeting up with AAPL CEO Tim Cook. Sonder is the startup behind a keyboard that can change based on what programs are being used. Recent rumors claim that the tech company is interested in using this technology for its Magic Keyboard 2, which may come out in 2018.
iPhone 7 Sales: Analysts are expecting iPhone 7 sales to pick up, reports Reuters. Sales of the iPhone 7 are expected to increase now that Samsung Electronic KRW5000 (OTCMKTS:SSNLF) has permanently pulled the Galaxy Note 7 from stores. This means that there’s no major rival to go against the iPhone 7 and this gives AAPL an advantage. Taiwan Semiconductor Mfg. Co. Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:TSM) is also increasing its revenue outlook for 2016. It supplies the A10 chips for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
