Wall Street's Charging Bull Statue Vandalized

The vandalizing of the Charging Bull saw blue paint being poured over its head. A sash that reads “Draw The Blue Line” was also placed around the neck of the Fearless Girl statue that stands opposite of the Charging Bull.

Draw The Blue Line is a group of protesters that are speaking out against President Donald Trump. The protesters are against the President’s decision to drop out of the Paris Agreement concerning climate change.

The member of Draw Blue Line that was behind the act has come forward. Her name is Courtney Frances Fallon. She claims that her goal is to draw a blue line in NYC and around the world. She says this line represents rising water levels. The protester is hoping to catch the attention of the United Nations, reports CNBC.

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio isn’t happy with the vandal’s actions. Despite disagreeing with President Trump on the Paris Agreement, he says “you don’t deface property and you don’t destroy property.” A police investigation into the act of vandalizing the Charging Bull is taking place.

Fallon is hoping to avoid repercussions from her actions. She claims that her paint was made with easy to clean ingredients. Police had the Charging Bull cleaned up this morning, but that doesn’t change the fact that she defaced the property.

This isn’t the first time that activists have vandalized a statue. Earlier this year, animal rights activists poured red paint over the Little Mermaid statue in Denmark. The statue has previously been the target of vandals.

As of this writing, William White did not hold a position in any of the aforementioned securities.
