What new movies are coming to theaters this September?
Each month brings with it about a dozen of big-budget films from major studios that are released nationwide, and September is among the coldest months out there. Historically, the month that begins the fall is the lowest one in cinema as October has Halloween, November and December have holiday films, January and February have Academy Awards nominees, March and April have Easter titles and May through August feature summer blockbusters.
Nevertheless, there are a few films that will get you ready for next month, including a film adapted from a Stephen King novel that includes a clown — the stuff of nightmares. A highly-anticipated Kingsman series film is also slated for a September release, while fans of the LEGO movie series will be able to see what else is in store in the form of block-building dynamics.
