Leading the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of more iPhone 8 battery problems. Today, we’ll look at that and other Apple Rumors for Wednesday.
iPhone 8 Battery: Two more recent cases of problems with the iPhone 8’s battery have come to light, reports MacRumors. These issues have the iPhone 8’s battery popping out of the device. It does this by swelling and putting pressure on the display, which is pushed away from the case. One recent case saw this issue happen when the device was charged overnight. The other device came out of the box like this. This brings the total number of cases to five. Apple is looking into the matter.
App Categories: Apple is removing certain categories from the App Store, 9to5Mac notes. A recent letter from AAPL sent to developers says that it is removing three categories from the app store. These categories are Catalogs, as well as Dice and Educational games. Apps in the Catalogs category are going to be moved to the Shopping category. Developers hit by the Dice and Educational change will have to place their apps into other categories.
Century City Store: Apple is preparing to reopen its store in the Century City mall, reports AppleInsider. The tech company is likely planning to open a much larger version of the retail location than was previously in the mall. This update will likely have the store adopting the design of more recent locations. It will open this Fall.
