You may soon be able to visit a Chick-fil-A with no dining room, as wild as that sounds.
The fried chicken chain said that it is
testing a concept store where it will only accept to-go orders as these locations will not have a dining room. The company decided to make the move as the demand for to-go orders continues to increase, pushing it to test locations that follow this new concept in Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky.
The Chick-fil-A with no dining room concept will focus solely on catering and delivery and they are set to open sometime this month. Customers in the Nashville and Louisville markets can still order catering at any local store location, but these new models will be designed to be hubs for catering and delivery.
The Nashville store will have no dining room or drive thru as nearly 4,200 of the location’s 5,800 square feet will be solely dedicated to the kitchen, which is more than double the size of a normal Chick-fil-A’s space. The company chose Church Street as the location “because it’s at the center of one of the fastest growing cities in the country.”
Plus, Church Street offers easy access to highways for deliveries to multiple destinations such as downtown Nashville, local hospitals such as Nashville General and Saint Thomas, as well as college campuses like Vanderbilt and Belmont.
