Amazon (AMZN) has added six more cities to its same-day delivery program, which is called “Get It Today”.
Amazon’s Get It Today program allows customers to order items as late as noon and still receive it that same day. The option is available seven days a week and products can show up within hours of being ordered online.
Here are the six new cities added to Amazon’s same-day delivery program.
- Baltimore
- Dallas
- Indianapolis
- New York City
- Philadelphia
- Washington DC
Customers who have a Prime membership with the online retailer can use Get It Today and only pay $5.99 for shipping. Customers who aren’t members of Prime can still order items, but it cost more. Same-day delivery for non-Prime members are the same as normal; they also suffer from a $9.98 fee for the first item ordered and another 99 cents fee for every item after that. A Prime membership costs $99 a year.
AMZN shares were up slightly as of Wednesday afternoon.
