More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 0.8% higher, the Nasdaq climbed 1.1% and the S&P 500 was up 0.8%.

- Rosetta Resources Inc (ROSE): ROSE stock is up 2.4% today.
- Ev Energy Partners L.P. (EVEP): EVEP stock is up 2.4% today.
- Newfield Exploration Company (NFX): NFX stock is up 2.3% today.
- Ultra Petroleum (UPL): UPL stock is up 2.2% today.
- Kodiak Oil (KOG): KOG stock is up 2.1% today.
- Diamondback Energy Inc (FANG): FANG stock is up 2.0% today.
- Gulfport Energy Corp (GPOR): GPOR stock is up 1.8% today.
- Patterson-Uti Energy (PTEN): PTEN stock is up 1.8% today.
Some of the biggest losers among energy stocks include:
- Alliance Resource Partners L.P. (ARLP): ARLP stock is down 4.5%, marking the ninth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Natural Resource Partners LP (NRP): NRP stock is down 2.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Southwestern Energy Company (SWN): SWN stock is down 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Cenovus Energy Inc (CVE): CVE stock is down 1.3% today on 3 times normal volume.
- Targa Resources Partners LP (NGLS): NGLS stock is down 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Energy Xxi [Bermuda] Limited (EXXI): EXXI stock is down 1.2% today and down 20.7% in the last month.
- Holly Energy Partners L.P. (HEP): HEP stock is down 1.2% today.
- Hollyfrontier Corp (HFC): HFC stock is down 1.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Peabody Energy Corp (BTU): BTU stock is down 1.1% today and down 20.4% in the last month.
- Carbo Ceramics (CRR): CRR stock is down 1.1% today and down 36.6% in the last month.
