Dec. 1 is World AIDS Day and the red Apple logo will be able to be seen at many of its stores. The first store to adopt the red logo was in Sydney and others will change their logos to red depending on their time zones. The logos aren’t all that’s different, on Dec. 1 Apple is donating a percentage of sales to help fight AIDS, reports The New York Daily News

.

The reason behind the red Apple logo has to do with the company’s partnership with (RED), which is a group that fights AIDS. The partnership between Apple and (RED) started on Black Friday with special iTunes gift cards, The New York Daily News notes.

This isn’t the first year that the red Apple logo has made an appearance. The company has been changing its logo’s color to red for World AIDS Day for the past three years now, reports MacRumors.
