The WatchOS 2 beta is currently only available to developers that have the iOS 9 beta installed on their iPhones. The new operating system is expected to include native apps and other features. This new software will also unlock more of the device’s potential as it gives developers access to several parts of the smartwatch that AAPL had previously closed off to them. It’s expected to get a public release sometime this Fall.

iOS: Apple has released its new iOS 9 beta to developers, 9to5Mac notes. The release of the new iOS 9 beta brings several new features to the tech comapny’s devices. One of the new features that has been discovered is the ability to make Wi-Fi calls when on AT&T’s (T) network. The feature isn’t actually running yet, but likely will be when the mobile operating system gets its full launch. This beta also includes the addition of more wallpapers, new CarPlay changes and more.

Mix: Apple has filed a patent that could return the mix tape to popularity, reports AppleInsider. The new patent isn’t for a physical mix tape, but rather a digital one. It details a system where users would be able to create custom lists of content, including songs, movies and more, into a mix tape for their friends to enjoy. The digital mix tape could be sent via iCloud and would allow the creator specific control over how it’s listened to. This could include the ability to turn off track skipping, not showing song titles until they play and more.
