Shoppers that have bought cans of StarKist tuna in the last few years may be eligible for a refund or free tuna.

A class action lawsuit claims that certain cans of StarKist tuna were under-filled and broke state and federal law. StarKist has denied that it did anything wrong, but it has agreed to settle the matter with a $25 refund or $50 of free tuna.
Customers are eligible for the refund or free tuna if they bought any of the following StarKist tuna products from February 19, 2009 through October 31, 2014:
- 5 oz. can of Chunk Light Tuna in Water.
- 5 oz. can of Chunk Light Tuna in Oil.
- 5 oz. can of Solid White Tuna in Water.
- 5 oz. can of Solid White Tuna in Oil.
Shoppers that are able to take part in the StarKist-tuna-refund lawsuit have until November 20, 2015 to file a claim. The final approval hearing for the proposed settlement is set to take place on December 17, 2015.
