Thursday Apple Rumors: Lines Start Forming for iPhone 6s Release

LinesLines are already starting to form at Apple (AAPL) Stores from customers hoping to pick up the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, reports MacRumors. Two Stores located in Germany have already started seeing long lines form outside of them. There is also a line forming at a Store in Sydney. Of note here is that one media executive is using a robot with an iPad to hold her place in line. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be available for purchase starting at 8:00 a.m. local time on Friday.

Rose

: It’s believed that the Rose Gold iPhone 6s and 6s Plus is the most popular color being preordered, AppleInsider notes. KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the Rose Gold color makes up 30% to 40% of iPhone 6s preorders. He claims that the tech company will likely sell anywhere from 10 million to 13 million of the smartphones when it launches. However, he notes that he’s leaning toward 12 million units. Kuo also claims that Foxconn benefits most from the high percentage of Rose Gold preorders as it’s the only supplier that can make that case in large quantities.

Apps: Apple has released a list of the most dangerous apps affected by the recent XcodeGhost hack, reports BGR. The list includes the top 25 apps that are dangerous and were made with the infected version of Xcode. The list is made up of the most popular apps by downloads that were affected by the hack. The XcodeGhost hack involved the distribution of a compromised version of Xcode to developers. This version of Xcode would inject malicious software into apps before they were uploaded to the App Store.
