MacBook Pro RAM: We now know why the new MacBook Pro only supports 16GB of RAM, reports MacRumors. According to Phil Schiller, Apple’s Marketing Chief, the new MacBook Pro laptops have a low power consumption design. Schiller claims that adding a 32GB option to the new MacBook Pro computers would have resulted in a redesign of the logic board and higher power consumption. The larger RAM would also have led to less room for the battery. This is why AAPL only went up to 16GB of RAM in the new MacBook Pro models.

Doom Touch Bar: One developer has got the classic first-person shooter video game Doom running on the new MacBook Pro laptop’s Touch Bar, AppleInsider notes. The developer behind this trick is Adam Bell. He isn’t releasing the version of Doom for the Touch Bar due to the public because it isn’t really playable. This is due to the 2170 x60 display the Touch Bar has. It results in there not being enough room to properly display the game. However, sound from the Doom will still run through the MacBook Pro computer’s speakers.

Thunderbolt 3 Hack: There is now a way to use unsupported Thunderbolt 3 accessories with the new MacBook Pro, reports 9to5Mac. A new hack called “TB3 Enabler” allows this. The hack was created by Khaos Tian and it lets unsupported Thunderbolt 3 accessories work with the new MacBook Pro. However, since it isn’t an offical method, there may be trouble with getting some accessories to work. Also, users have to take full responsibility for whatever happens after they override Apple’s software block for unsupported Thunderbolt 3 devices.
