Last week, NBC attracted the most viewers between the ages of 18 and 49 – a  demographic prized by advertisers — and tied CBS (NYSE:CBS) for all adults ages 25 to 54. Among younger viewers, NBC has won five of the last six weeks, Variety noted.

The network, which ruled TV ratings in the 1980′s and 1990′s with hits like The Cosby Show and Friends saw its share of viewers plummet over the last decade. Desperate attempts to reverse its fortunes, like bringing Tonight Show host Jay Leno to prime-time, fell flat.

This season, however, the Peacock network is back with a revitalized prime-time lineup and a growing number of hit shows. The addition of Sunday Night Football has also drawn viewers.

While NBC has been doing well this season, CBS is nipping at its heels. Last week, CBS topped NBC in total viewers of all ages. Disney‘s (NYSE:DIS) attracted the third-most viewers last week, while News Corp.’s (NASDAQ:NWSA) Fox came in fourth.

Here are some of NBC’s most popular TV shows:

  • Revolution
  • The Voice
  • The New Normal
  • Go On!
  • Chicago Fire
  • Guys With Kids

Shares of Comcast rose fractionally in Tuesday morning trading.
