But the carrier won't say which Apple products it will carry next year

Late Arrival: Deutsche Telekom (PINK:DTEGY) says that its U.S. wireless carrier, T-Mobile, will begin carrying Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) products next year, NBC News notes.  Despite the statement, T-Mobile would not detail which Apple products would be offered on its network. But the statement is widely interpreted to mean that T-Mobile will finally offer the iPhone. T-Mobile is the only top-ranked U.S. wireless carrier not to offer the iPhone. The wireless carrier is still rolling out its 4G/LTE network in the U.S, and that process could affect when various Apple products appear on T-Mobile’s network. Deutsche Telekom said that expanding T-Mobile’s 4G/LTE network would be a major focus next year. Analysts noted that adding the iPhone, and possibly the iPad, would help T-Mobile compete with larger rivals AT&T (NYSE:T), Verizon (NYSE:VZ) and Sprint (NYSE:S).

Phone Hurdles: Expectations that the iPhone would soon arrive on China Mobile (NYSE:CHL) may have been premature, Bloomberg notes. The CEO of the world’s largest wireless service provider told reporters that negotiations to bring the iPhone to China Mobile were continuing, but that issues related to benefits sharing still needed to be resolved. Additionally, the CEO noted that compatibility problems between the iPhone and China Mobile’s 3G network had not yet been worked out. Analysts said the comments signaled that China Mobile was going to demand extremely favorable terms from Apple before the iPhone would appear on its network. China Mobile has 703 million subscribers. The iPhone is available on its smaller rivals China Unicom (NYSE:CHU) and China Telecom (NYSE:CHA).

TV Hints: Apple CEO Tim Cook appeared to stoke speculation that the iPad-maker is developing its own television in an interview with NBC’s Brian Williams that will air on Thursday’s edition of Rock Center. Cook says that he feels like he is traveling backward in time every time he sits down to watch TV in his living room. He added that TV is a major “area of interest” for Apple, adding cryptically that he couldn’t “say more than that.” Rumors of an Apple-branded TV have been around for some time. They cooled over the summer as speculation shifted to the possibility of a set-top content-streaming box, but have recently reignited. Last month, an analyst predicted that Apple would launch a TV-set, priced between $1,500 and $2,000, and featuring an unique user interface and Siri voice assistant next year.
