4 Electric Utilities Stocks to Sell Now

FE, POM, SO, ETR slump in weekly rankings


The ratings of four Electric Utilities stocks are down this week, according to the Portfolio Grader database. Each of these rates a “D” (“sell”) or “F” overall (“strong sell”).

FirstEnergy’s (NYSE:FE) rating falls to a D (“sell”) this week, down from C (“hold”) the week prior. FirstEnergy is a public utility holding company. Pepco Holdings primarily distributes, transmits, and supplies electricity and supplies natural gas to customers in New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. The stock gets F’s in Cash Flow and Sales Growth. As of Jan. 18, 2013, 10.4% of outstanding Pepco Holdings shares were held short.
