Walmart Pushes Up Thanskgiving Day Door Busters 2 Hours

Walmart (NYSE:WMT)Walmart (WMT), announced on Tuesday, that it will start its Thanksgiving Day door busters at 6 p.m.

This will have the retailer starting its Thanksgiving Day sales two hours earlier than what it did in 2012. Walmart will also be increasing the amount of TVs it caries by 65% and its will double the amount of tablets it offers. The retailer will also increase the amount of guaranteed items that will be located at different parts of its stores from three to 21. Walmart is moving up its door busters to better compete with other retailers that have decided to open at earlier times on Thanksgiving Day,  reports the Associated Press.

Walmart has noted that its employees will get additional pay for working the holiday, free meals during the time they are working on Thanksgiving and a 25% discount on one purchase during the holiday season, reports Fox News.

“Black Friday is our day — our Super Bowl — and we’re ready to prove once again that no one does it better than Walmart,” Bill Simon, CEO of Walmart, told Fox News.
