More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.5%, the Nasdaq increased 0.2% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.5%.

Some of the biggest gainers among consumer cyclical stocks include:

• Gentex Corp (GNTX): GNTX stock is up 2.6% today.

• Whirlpool Corp (WHR): WHR stock is up 2.6% today.

• Lear Corp (LEA): LEA stock is up 2.1% today.

• Stanley Black & Decker Inc (SWK): SWK stock is up 2.0% today.

• Koninklijke Philips Electronics (PHG): PHG stock is up 2.0%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Williams-Sonoma (WSM): WSM stock is up 1.9% today.

• Johnson Controls (JCI): JCI stock is up 1.9% today.

• Helen of Troy Limited (HELE): HELE stock is up 1.8% today.

• Leggett & Platt Inc (LEG): LEG stock is up 1.8% today.

• Cooper Tire & Rubber Company (CTB): CTB stock is up 1.7% today.

Some of the biggest losers among consumer cyclical stocks include:

• Shutterfly (SFLY): SFLY stock is down 1.5%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Federal-Mogul Corp (FDML): FDML stock is down 0.9% today.

• Hon Industries Inc (HNI): HNI stock is down 0.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Hyster-Yale Materials Handling (HY): HY stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• W.W. Grainger (GWW): GWW stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Nortek Inc (NTK): NTK stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Steven Madden (SHOO): SHOO stock is down 0.2%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Clarcor Inc (CLC): CLC stock is down 0.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
