Transportation stocks advanced broadly on Wall Street so far on Wednesday, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 0.2%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.2%, the Nasdaq was down 0.4% and the S&P 500 fell 0.2%.

Some of the biggest gainers among transportation stocks include:

• Delta Air Lines Inc (DAL): DAL stock is up 5.2% to a new 52-week high of $36.78.

• Alaska Air Group (ALK): ALK stock is up 2.8% to a new 52-week high of $96.42.

• Wabtec Corp (WAB): WAB stock is up 2.4%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Ryanair Holdings Plc (RYAAY): RYAAY stock is up 1.9%, marking the sixth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Air Methods Corp (AIRM): AIRM stock is up 1.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Diana Shipping Inc (DSX): DSX stock is up 1.6% today.

• Canadian National Railway Company (CNI): CNI stock is up 1.6%, marking the seventh consecutive day the stock has increased.

• United Continental Holdings (UAL): UAL stock is up 1.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Spirit Airlines Inc (SAVE): SAVE stock is up 0.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Hornbeck Offshore Services (HOS): HOS stock is up 1.2% today.

Some of the biggest losers among transportation stocks include:

• Norfolk Southern Corp (NSC): NSC stock is down 2.7% today.

• Guangshen Railway Company (GSH): GSH stock is down 2.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Grupo Aeroportuario Del Centro (OMAB): OMAB stock is down 1.8% today.

• China Eastern Airlines Corp Ltd (CEA): CEA stock is down 1.6%, marking the eighth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Teekay Lng Partners L.P. (TGP): TGP stock is down 1.5% today.

• China Southern Airlines Company (ZNH): ZNH stock is down 1.2% to a new 52-week low of $15.20.

• Knight Transportation (KNX): KNX stock is down 1.3% today.

• Express-1 Expedited Solutions (XPO): XPO stock is down 1.2% today.

• Canadian Pacific Railway (CP): CP stock is down 0.8% today.

• Latam Airlines Group Sa (LFL): LFL stock is down 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
