Transportation stocks rose broadly on Wall Street on Tuesday, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 0.9%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.7%, the Nasdaq climbed 1.8% and the S&P 500 rose 0.7%.

Some of the biggest gainers among transportation stocks include:

• Forward Air Corp (FWRD): FWRD stock is up 1.6% to a new 52-week high of $46.87.

• Con-Way Inc (CNW): CNW stock is up 1.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Swift Transportation Company (SWFT): SWFT stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• J.B. Hunt Transport Services (JBHT): JBHT stock is up 1.6% today.

• Amerco (UHAL): UHAL stock is up 1.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Werner Enterprises (WERN): WERN stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Navios Maritime Holdings Inc (NM): NM stock is up 1.4%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Knight Transportation (KNX): KNX stock is up 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Golar Lng Partners LP (GMLP): GMLP stock is up 1.3% today.

• Air Methods Corp (AIRM): AIRM stock is up 1.3%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among transportation stocks include:

• American Railcar Industries (ARII): ARII stock is down 0.6% today.

• Golar Lng Limited (GLNG): GLNG stock is down 0.4% today.
