Basic materials stocks finished down broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.7%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.8%, the Nasdaq fell 1.6% and the S&P 500 was down 0.8%.

• Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (AEM): AEM stock is up 2.7% today.

• Kinross Gold Corp (KGC): KGC stock is up 2.2% today.

• Simpson Manufacturing Company (SSD): SSD stock is up 2.1% today.

• Pan American Silver (PAAS): PAAS stock is up 1.5% today.

• Royal Gold (RGLD): RGLD stock is up 1.4% today.

• Mosaic Company (MOS): MOS stock is up 1.3% today.

• Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is up 1.3% today.

• Cvr Partners LP Common Units R (UAN): UAN stock is up 1.2% today.

• Silver Wheaton Corp (SLW): SLW stock is up 1.1% today.

• Dominion Diamond Corp (DDC): DDC stock is up 1.1% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Circor International (CIR): CIR stock is down 3.0% today.

• Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE): GPRE stock is down 2.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Globe Specialty Metals Inc (GSM): GSM stock is down 2.6%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Molycorp Inc (MCP): MCP stock is down 2.4% today.

• H. B. Fuller Company (FUL): FUL stock is down 2.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Cameco Corp (CCJ): CCJ stock is down 2.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Grupo Simec S.A. De C.V. (SIM): SIM stock is down 2.2% today.

• W.R. Grace & Company (GRA): GRA stock is down 2.1%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Actuant Corp (ATU): ATU stock is down 2.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Chemtura Corp (CHMT): CHMT stock is down 2.1% today.
