Utilities stocks finished up broadly on Wall Street on Wednesday, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 0.4%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 1.0% higher, the Nasdaq was up 1.3% and the S&P 500 increased 1.0%.

Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:

• Boardwalk Pipeline Partners L.P. (BWP): BWP stock is up 1.7% today and up 20.2% in the last month.

• Atlas Energy Llc (ATLS): ATLS stock is up 1.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Pinnacle West Capital Corp (PNW): PNW stock is up 1.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Enbridge Inc (ENB): ENB stock is up 1.5% today.

• Energy Transfer Partners (ETP): ETP stock is up 1.4% today.

• Oneok Partners L.P. (OKS): OKS stock is up 1.4% today.

• Ugi Corp (UGI): UGI stock is up 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Dominion Resources (D): D stock is up 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Southern Company (SO): SO stock is up 1.3%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Covanta Holding Corp (CVA): CVA stock is up 1.3% today.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

• Williams Partners L.P. (WPZ): WPZ stock is down 0.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• PNM Resources Inc (PNM): PNM stock is down 0.2% today.

• Laclede Group (LG): LG stock is down 0.2% today.

• Trident Performance Group (TCP): TCP stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Northwest Natural Gas Company (NWN): NWN stock is down 0.1% today.
