More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.4%, the Nasdaq was up 0.7% and the S&P 500 pushed 0.4% higher.

Some of the biggest gainers among transportation stocks include:

• Jetblue Airways Corp (JBLU): JBLU stock is up 2.4% today.

• Air Methods Corp (AIRM): AIRM stock is up 2.1% today.

• Ship Finance International (SFL): SFL stock is up 1.7% today.

• Wabtec Corp (WAB): WAB stock is up 1.7% today.

• Allegiant Travel Company (ALGT): ALGT stock is up 1.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Alaska Air Group (ALK): ALK stock is up 1.5% today.

• Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL): ODFL stock is up 1.4% to a new 52-week high of $62.40.

• Con-Way Inc (CNW): CNW stock is up 1.4% today.

• Knight Transportation (KNX): KNX stock is up 1.4% today.

• Delta Air Lines Inc (DAL): DAL stock is up 1.4% today.

Some of the biggest losers among transportation stocks include:

• Navios Maritime Partners LP (NMM): NMM stock is down 1.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Teekay Lng Partners L.P. (TGP): TGP stock is down 0.6% today.

• Amerco (UHAL): UHAL stock is down 0.5% today.

• Grupo Aeroportuario Del Centro (OMAB): OMAB stock is down 0.3% today.

• Genesee & Wyoming (GWR): GWR stock is down 0.2% today.

• Expeditors International of Washington (EXPD): EXPD stock is down 0.2% today.

• Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII): HII stock is down 0.2%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• GATX Corp (GMT): GMT stock is down 0.1% today.

• Teekay Shipping Corp (TK): TK stock is down 0.1% today.
