daily apple rumors AAPLLeaked: A leaked image of what is claimed to be the flex cable for the Lightning and headphone pieces of Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone 6 were shown off today, MacRumors notes. The image shows a similar set up for the same parts in the iPhone 5s, but there are a few small differences that make it stand out, such as dual screw holes near the top of the headphone jack part. Another leaked image shows a supposed rear case of the iPhone 6. The image has holes that would match up with where the screws near the top of the headphone jack would go.

Launch: According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Apple is looking to make its iPhone 6 launch the largest launch it has ever done. This includes releasing between 70 million and 80 million units of the iPhone 6. These numbers include both the 4.5-inch and phablet versions of the iPhone 6. The company is supposedly asking its manufacturers to have this many units of the devices ready by Dec. 30.

Processor: Intel (INTC) has announced its next generation of i5 and i7 processors, reports 9to5Mac. Each of the new generation processors have 200 MHz over their older counterparts, which are featured in MacBook Pros. The newly released specs list the processors as ranging from 2.2 GHz to 3.0 GHz. The version currently found in the MacBook Pro line ranges from 2.0 GHz to 2.6 GHz. Apple is expected to incorporate the new generation i5 and i7 processors in its MacBook Pro line.
