Basic materials stocks rose broadly on Wall Street on Monday, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 1.2%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 0.7% higher, the Nasdaq rose 0.7% and the S&P 500 pushed 0.7% higher.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• AK Steel Holding Corp (AKS): AKS stock is up 2.7% today.

• Ferro Corp (FOE): FOE stock is up 2.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Mueller Industries (MLI): MLI stock is up 2.6% today.

• Simpson Manufacturing Company (SSD): SSD stock is up 2.1% today.

• Stepan Company (SCL): SCL stock is up 2.1% today.

• Calgon Carbon Corp (CCC): CCC stock is up 2.1% today.

• Polyone Corp (POL): POL stock is up 2.1% today.

• Chemtura Corp (CHMT): CHMT stock is up 2.0% today.

• Sealed Air Corp (SEE): SEE stock is up 2.0% today.

• Mosaic Company (MOS): MOS stock is up 2.0% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Compania Mina Buenaventura S.A. (BVN): BVN stock is down 1.7% today.

• Hudbay Minerals Inc (HBM): HBM stock is down 1.5% today.

• Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is down 1.0% today.

• Randgold Resources Limited (GOLD): GOLD stock is down 0.8%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Cvr Partners LP Common Units R (UAN): UAN stock is down 0.6% today.

• Enpro Industries (NPO): NPO stock is down 0.6%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Owens-Illinois (OI): OI stock is down 0.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Greif Bros. Corp (GEF): GEF stock is down 0.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Silver Wheaton Corp (SLW): SLW stock is down 0.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Actuant Corp (ATU): ATU stock is down 0.2%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
