More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.3%, the Nasdaq stayed level and the S&P 500 pushed 0.3% higher.

Some of the biggest gainers among consumer noncyclical stocks include:

• Hormel Foods Corp (HRL): HRL stock is up 0.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• General Mills (GIS): GIS stock is up 0.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Vector Group Ltd (VGR): VGR stock is up 0.3%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Archer-Daniels-Midland Company (ADM): ADM stock is up 0.2% today.

• Procter & Gamble Company (PG): PG stock is up 0.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Flowers Foods (FLO): FLO stock is up 0.1% today.

• Kimberly-Clark Corp (KMB): KMB stock is up 0.1% today.

Some of the biggest losers among consumer noncyclical stocks include:

• Fresh Del Monte Produce (FDP): FDP stock is down 0.9% today.

• Coca Cola Femsa S.A.B. De C.V. (KOF): KOF stock is down 0.8% today.

• Diageo Plc (DEO): DEO stock is down 0.8% today.

• Anheuser-Busch Inbev Sa (BUD): BUD stock is down 0.7% today.

• Molson Coors Brewing Company (TAP): TAP stock is down 0.7% today.

• Gruma S.A. De C.V. (GMK): GMK stock is down 0.6%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Sanderson Farms (SAFM): SAFM stock is down 0.6% today.

• Unilever Plc (UL): UL stock is down 0.6% today.

• Altria Group (MO): MO stock is down 0.6% today.

• Industrias Bachoco S.A. De C.V. (IBA): IBA stock is down 0.5% today.
