Utilities stocks rose 0.7% on Wall Street today.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.3%, the Nasdaq pushed 0.4% higher and the S&P 500 rose 0.3%.

Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:

• Centrais Elc Braz Pfb B Elbras (EBR): EBR stock is up 4.6% today and up 32.0% in the last month.

• Empresa Nacional De Electricidad S.A. (EOC): EOC stock is up 2.8% today.

• Enersis S A (ENI): ENI stock is up 1.6% today.

• Entergy Corp (ETR): ETR stock is up 1.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

• California Water Service Group Holding (CWT): CWT stock is up 1.3% today.

• Aqua America (WTR): WTR stock is up 1.2% today.

• Agl Resources (GAS): GAS stock is up 1.1% today.

• Crestwood Midstream Partners LP (CMLP): CMLP stock is up 1.0% today.

• Cheniere Energy Partners LP (CQP): CQP stock is up 1.0% today.

• Calpine Corp (CPN): CPN stock is up 1.0%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.

Only one stock in the utilities sectors showed losses:

• Energy Transfer Equity LP (ETE): ETE stock is down 0.9% today.
