Both the free and paid app sections of the App Store lists an iOS 8 keyboard as the top app. The ruler of the free apps category is the SwfitKey Keybaord and Swype is sitting at the top of the paid apps list. The number two and number nine spots on the paid apps category were also held by iOS 8 keyboards. Devices running iOS 8 also feature an updated keyboard offered by Apple.

Format: Apple and U2 are rumored to be working together on a new type of digital music format, AppleInsider notes. Details regarding the new digital music format are nonexistent, but U2 frontman Bono thinks it will change how music is bought. He specifically believes that it will help combat piracy and encourage people to buy more music. U2 has tried to work closely with Apple in the past, but Steve Jobs didn’t allow it. However, the late Jobs was rumored to be working on a new digital music format with Neil Young in 2012.

Trade-ins: Trade-ins of devices running Google’s (GOOG) Android operating system have increase following the announcement of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, reports BGR. Trade-ins of Android devices have increased by 200% leading up to the launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. A poll from Gazelle, a reseller of electronic devices, showed that a third of its Android users planned to upgrade to the newest iPhone. Of those that planned to switch to Apple, 39% said the screen was the drviving force behind their decision. The same website also saw Samsung (SSNLF) trade-ins triple last week.
