Netflix (NFLX) has delayed the online streaming release of Arrow season 2 as Warner Bros. (TWX) looks to make money off DVD sales.
Arrow season 2 was slated for a Sept. 14 release on Netflix but that date has been pushed back to early October. Warner Bros. released the DVD on Sept. 16.
Warner Home Video has added plenty of extra features to the DVD to lure die-hard fans into buying it. These features include a 25-minute documentary, a look at the show’s special effects and a short special on the show’s stunts.
The new release date of Arrow season 2 is Oct. 8, the same day as the premiere of the third season. The DVD is on sale for $34.99 while the Blu-ray version is $44.99.
NFLX stock is down about 0.3% Tuesday afternoon. TWX stock is up 1.3%.
