Basic materials stocks fell broadly on Wall Street on Tuesday morning, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.3%.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.3%, the Nasdaq was down 0.2% and the S&P 500 declined 0.3%.

- Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited (AEM): AEM stock is up 1.7% today.
- Royal Gold (RGLD): RGLD stock is up 1.3% today.
- Kinross Gold Corp (KGC): KGC stock is up 1.4% today.
- Barrick Gold Corp (ABX): ABX stock is up 1.1% today.
- Gold Fields Ltd (GFI): GFI stock is up 0.9% today.
- Silver Wheaton Corp (SLW): SLW stock is up 0.9% today.
- Anglogold Ashanti Ltd (AU): AU stock is up 0.8% today.
- Newmont Mining Corp (NEM): NEM stock is up 0.8% today.
- Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is up 0.9% today.
- Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE): GPRE stock is up 0.6% today.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- Gerdau S.A. (GGB): GGB stock is down 2.9%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Copene-Petroquimica Do Nordeste (BAK): BAK stock is down 2.3%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- AK Steel Holding Corp (AKS): AKS stock is down 2.2% today.
- Domtar Corp (UFS): UFS stock is down 2.4% today.
- Intrepid Potash Inc (IPI): IPI stock is down 1.8% today.
- Minerals Technologies Inc (MTX): MTX stock is down 1.7% today.
- RPM International Inc (RPM): RPM stock is down 1.6% today.
- Mosaic Company (MOS): MOS stock is down 1.6% today.
- Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc (POT): POT stock is down 1.6% today.
- Quaker Chemical Corp (KWR): KWR stock is down 1.5% today.
