Basic materials stocks fell broadly on Wall Street so far on Tuesday, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.4%.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.2%, the Nasdaq fell 0.1% and the S&P 500 was down 0.2%.

- Dominion Diamond Corp (DDC): DDC stock is up 4.8% today.
- Century Aluminum Company (CENX): CENX stock is up 4.8% today.
- Pohang Iron & Steel Co. (PKX): PKX stock is up 1.9% today.
- Royal Gold (RGLD): RGLD stock is up 1.3% today.
- Alcoa Inc (AA): AA stock is up 1.2% today.
- Berry Plastics Group Inc (BERY): BERY stock is up 1.1% today.
- Cameco Corp (CCJ): CCJ stock is up 0.6% today.
- Schweitzer-Mauduit International (SWM): SWM stock is up 0.5% today.
- Randgold Resources Limited (GOLD): GOLD stock is up 0.3% today.
- Compania Mina Buenaventura S.A. (BVN): BVN stock is up 0.2% today.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- United States Steel Corp (X): X stock is down 2.5% today.
- Pan American Silver (PAAS): PAAS stock is down 2.0% today.
- Kinross Gold Corp (KGC): KGC stock is down 2.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- New Gold Inc (NGD): NGD stock is down 2.0% today.
- Copene-Petroquimica Do Nordeste (BAK): BAK stock is down 2.1% today.
- Mosaic Company (MOS): MOS stock is down 1.9% today.
- Georgia Gulf Corp (AXLL): AXLL stock is down 1.8% today.
- Lyondellbasell Industries Nv (LYB): LYB stock is down 1.8% today.
- A. Schulman (SHLM): SHLM stock is down 1.6% today.
- Stillwater Mining Company (SWC): SWC stock is down 1.7% today.
