• Valhi Inc (VHI): VHI stock is up 0.8% today.

• Bemis Company (BMS): BMS stock is up 0.4% today.

• Novagold Resources Inc (NG): NG stock is up 0.3% today.

• Syngenta Ag (SYT): SYT stock is up 0.1% today.

Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:

• Pohang Iron & Steel Co. (PKX): PKX stock is down 4.9% today.

• Sinopec Shangai Petrochemical Company Ltd (SHI): SHI stock is down 3.8% today.

• Kapstone Paper and Packaging Corp (KS): KS stock is down 3.8% today.

• Cliffs Natural Resources Inc (CLF): CLF stock is down 3.4%, marking the ninth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Gerdau S.A. (GGB): GGB stock is down 2.8% today.

• Vale S.A. (VALE): VALE stock is down 2.7% today.

• National Steel Corp (SID): SID stock is down 2.4% today.

• AK Steel Holding Corp (AKS): AKS stock is down 2.7% today and down 21.9% in the last month.

• Hudbay Minerals Inc (HBM): HBM stock is down 2.5% today.

• Copene-Petroquimica Do Nordeste (BAK): BAK stock is down 2.3% today.
