More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.6%, the Nasdaq fell 0.5% and the S&P 500 was down 0.6%.
Only one stock in the capital goods sectors showed gains:
- Orbital Sciences Corp (ORB): ORB stock is up 0.6%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.
Some of the biggest losers among capital goods stocks include:
- U.S. Silica Holdings Inc (SLCA): SLCA stock is down 2.6% today.
- Heico Cp Cl A (HEI.A): HEI.A stock is down 2.6% today.
- USG Corp (USG): USG stock is down 2.5% today.
- Granite Construction Inc (GVA): GVA stock is down 2.4% today.
- Tutor Perini Corp (TPC): TPC stock is down 2.1% today.
- Chart Industries (GTLS): GTLS stock is down 2.1% today.
- Barnes Group (B): B stock is down 1.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Armstrong World Industries Inc (AWI): AWI stock is down 1.7%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Lennar Corp (LEN.B): LEN.B stock is down 1.7% today.
- Fortune Brands Home & Security (FBHS): FBHS stock is down 1.6% today.
