More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.4%, the Nasdaq increased 0.8% and the S&P 500 pushed 0.4% higher.

- Lincoln Electric Holdings (LECO): LECO stock is up 1.6% today.
- Exelis Inc. Common Stock New Wh (XLS): XLS stock is up 1.3% today.
- Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V. (CBI): CBI stock is up 1.3% today.
- D.R. Horton (DHI): DHI stock is up 1.2%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Apogee Enterprises (APOG): APOG stock is up 1.1% today.
- Standard Pacific LP (SPF): SPF stock is up 1.0% today.
- Flir Systems (FLIR): FLIR stock is up 0.9% today.
- Meritage Corp (MTH): MTH stock is up 0.9% today.
- General Dynamics Corp (GD): GD stock is up 0.9%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
Some of the biggest losers among capital goods stocks include:
- Armstrong World Industries Inc (AWI): AWI stock is down 2.1% today.
- Toro Company (TTC): TTC stock is down 1.1% today.
- Agco Corp (AGCO): AGCO stock is down 0.8%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Cummins Inc (CMI): CMI stock is down 0.7%, marking the seventh consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Beacon Roofing Supply (BECN): BECN stock is down 0.6% today.
- Barnes Group (B): B stock is down 0.6% today.
- Kennametal Inc (KMT): KMT stock is down 0.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Joy Global Inc (JOY): JOY stock is down 0.5%, marking the seventh consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- KBR Inc (KBR): KBR stock is down 0.5% today.
- James Hardie Industries Se (JHX): JHX stock is down 0.5% today on 2 times normal volume.
