A new chauffeur service that only uses vehicles from Tesla Motors (TSLA) has been started in London.
The Tesla chauffeur service is called Gliide. The service claims that users will save up to 50% when using it compared to one of the city’s black cabs. Users of the service are also able to book, pay for and track their journey all through its mobile app, reports EV Fleet World.
Gliide is currently an invite only service. However, those interested in the service can fill out an application on its website. It claims to be the first all electric chauffeur service in London and says that it can help organizations and travelers reduce their negative impact on the environment, EV Fleet World notes.
While Gliide claims to be the first all Tesla chauffeur service, it isn’t the first company to let people ride in the electric cars. Two other rental services, eVISION Supercars and Eden EV, already allow customers to rent the vehicles for long- or short-term trips, reports Zap Map.
