apple-rumors-apple-aapl-patent-apple-tv-remoteA9: Samsung (SSNLF) will work on Apple’s (AAPL) A9 chip, reports MacRumors. The A9 chip being made by Samsung for Apple will be 14 nanometers and will be used in next year’s version of the iPhone and iPad. Samsung currently makes about 30% of the A8 chips used by Apple. Work on the A9 chip is expected to start before the end of 2014. The newest version of the iPad that is rumored to be released this year is expected to use the A8 chip.

Remote: Apple has filed a patent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a new remote for Apple TV, AppleInsider notes. The patent is titled “Browsing remote content using a native user interface”. The new remote will be an app that offers advanced ways to control the set-top box with a mobile device.  Details in the patent claim that users would be able to use the new app to display what they are seeing on their TVs to the mobile device. This would allow users to take advantage of the device’s touchscreen for navigation of the service.

Watch: A rumor coming from China claims that Apple will release its smartwatch in February, reports 9to5Mac. According to the rumor, Apple is planning to release the new device with a limited supply. This is due to a limited amount of Sapphire Glass being available. The February release falls in line with Apple’s official announcement that it would release Watch sometime in early 2015. This rumor does contradict another report that claims the tech company would be lucky to get the new wearable technology out by Valentine’s Day.
