Basic materials stocks rose 2.2% on Wall Street on Tuesday.
More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average pushed 2.0% higher, the Nasdaq rose 2.6% and the S&P 500 climbed 2.0%.

- Alcoa Inc (AA): AA stock is up 4.2%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Mrc Global Inc (MRC): MRC stock is up 4.2% today.
- Watts Water Technologies (WTS): WTS stock is up 4.0% today.
- Methanex Corp (MEOH): MEOH stock is up 3.8% today.
- Schweitzer-Mauduit International (SWM): SWM stock is up 3.6% today.
- Cameco Corp (CCJ): CCJ stock is up 3.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
- Polyone Corp (POL): POL stock is up 3.4% today.
- Lyondellbasell Industries Nv (LYB): LYB stock is up 3.4% today.
- Domtar Corp (UFS): UFS stock is up 3.4% today.
- Southern Peru Copper Corp (SCCO): SCCO stock is up 3.3% today.
Some of the biggest losers among basic materials stocks include:
- Eldorado Gold Corp (EGO): EGO stock is down 0.7% today.
- Barrick Gold Corp (ABX): ABX stock is down 0.4% today.
- Goldcorp Inc (GG): GG stock is down 0.3% today.
- Randgold Resources Limited (GOLD): GOLD stock is down 0.2% today.
