More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.4%, the Nasdaq declined 0.2% and the S&P 500 was down 0.4%.
Only one stock in the energy sectors showed gains:
- Access Midstream Partners L.P. (ACMP): ACMP stock is up 1.7% today.
Some of the biggest losers among energy stocks include:
- Petroleo Brasileiro S.A.- Petrobras (PBR.A): PBR.A stock is down 15.3% today and down 35.8% in the last month.
- Petroleo Brasileiro S.A.- Petrobras (PBR): PBR stock is down 13.8% today and down 33.5% in the last month.
- Diamondback Energy Inc (FANG): FANG stock is down 6.1% today.
- Precision Drilling Corp (PDS): PDS stock is down 8.8% today.
- Ep Energy Corp (EPE): EPE stock is down 7.9% today and down 22.5% in the last month.
- Laredo Petroleum Holdings Inc (LPI): LPI stock is down 10.0% today.
- Patterson-Uti Energy (PTEN): PTEN stock is down 8.9% today.
- Whiting Petroleum Corp (WLL): WLL stock is down 8.6% today.
- Sm Energy Company (SM): SM stock is down 8.1% today.
- Kodiak Oil (KOG): KOG stock is down 8.4% today.
