More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4%, the Nasdaq pushed 0.7% higher and the S&P 500 was up 0.4%.

- Noble Corp (NE): NE stock is up 3.0% today.
- Petrobras Argentina S.A. (PZE): PZE stock is up 0.5% today.
- Eni S.P.A. (E): E stock is up 2.4% today.
- Totalfinaelf S.A. (TOT): TOT stock is up 2.4% today.
- Peabody Energy Corp (BTU): BTU stock is up 2.9% today.
- Pengrowth Energy Corp (PGH): PGH stock is up 2.8% today.
Some of the biggest losers among energy stocks include:
- Consol Energy Inc (CNX): CNX stock is down 1.1%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Breitburn Energy Partners L.P. (BBEP): BBEP stock is down 1.7% today and down 24.6% in the last month.
- Patterson-Uti Energy (PTEN): PTEN stock is down 1.5% today.
- Legacy Reserves LP (LGCY): LGCY stock is down 0.5%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Atlas Resource Partners L.P. C (ARP): ARP stock is down 1.7% today and down 21.8% in the last month.
- Baytex Energy Corp (BTE): BTE stock is down 1.2% today and down 20.3% in the last month.
- Nabors Industries (NBR): NBR stock is down 1.4%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has decreased.
- Williams Companies (WMB): WMB stock is down 0.7% today.
