Transportation stocks finished up broadly on Wall Street on Tuesday, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 2.8%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.2%, the Nasdaq stayed the same and the S&P 500 climbed 0.2%.

Some of the biggest gainers among transportation stocks include:

• Costamare Inc (CMRE): CMRE stock is up 4.1% today on 3 times normal volume.

• Forward Air Corp (FWRD): FWRD stock is up 2.9% today.

• Latam Airlines Group Sa (LFL): LFL stock is up 2.9% today.

• Alaska Air Group (ALK): ALK stock is up 2.7% today.

• Werner Enterprises (WERN): WERN stock is up 2.3% today.

• Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL): ODFL stock is up 2.3% today on 2 times normal volume.

• Union Pacific Corp (UNP): UNP stock is up 2.1% today on 2 times normal volume.

• Ship Finance International (SFL): SFL stock is up 2.0% today on 2 times normal volume.

• GATX Corp (GMT): GMT stock is up 2.0% today.

• Canadian Pacific Railway (CP): CP stock is up 2.0% today.

Some of the biggest losers among transportation stocks include:

• Greenbrier Companies (GBX): GBX stock is down 1.9% today and down 38.6% in the last month.

• Air Methods Corp (AIRM): AIRM stock is down 1.2%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has decreased.

• Golar Lng Limited (GLNG): GLNG stock is down 0.8% today and down 33.0% in the last month.

• Taminco Corporation Common Stoc (TAM): TAM stock is down 0.2% today on 4 times normal volume.
