Utilities stocks finished up broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall increase of 0.7%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.1%, the Nasdaq was up 1.4% and the S&P 500 rose 1.1%.

Some of the biggest gainers among utilities stocks include:

  • Mge Energy Inc (MGEE): MGEE stock is up 2.8%, marking the third consecutive day the stock has increased.
  • California Water Service Group Holding (CWT): CWT stock is up 2.6% today.
  • Newjersey Resources Corp (NJR): NJR stock is up 2.7%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
  • Cheniere Energy Partners LP (CQP): CQP stock is up 2.6% today.
  • Southwest Gas Corp (SWX): SWX stock is up 2.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
  • Piedmont Natural Gas Company (PNY): PNY stock is up 2.5%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.
  • Trident Performance Group (TCP): TCP stock is up 2.4% today.
  • Terraform Power Inc. (TERP): TERP stock is up 2.4% today.
  • Mdu Res Group Inc (MDU): MDU stock is up 2.2% today.
  • Idacorp Inc (IDA): IDA stock is up 2.2%, marking the fourth consecutive day the stock has increased.

Some of the biggest losers among utilities stocks include:

  • Crestwood Midstream Partners LP (CMLP): CMLP stock is down 1.7% today.
  • Northwestern Corp (NWE): NWE stock is down 0.2% today.
